Fox was about last night

From November through to March I keep the hens in one of the stables as its too cold for them out in the coop. They get on nice days to peck about but have the warmth and safety of the stable during the night.This morning I went down to feed all the animals and discovered that the fox had paid a visit during the night. He didn't manage to make it in but the bottom of the door had been chewed away and one board pulled out.All the bits of wood on the ground and the hole is big enough to let in a cat but the fox wouldn't have made it. I put a board up against it for tonight and will repair it tomorrow if the rain holds off.
